Terms of Service

Rules for AI video creation, authorized media use, accounts, subscriptions, credits, and support.

Last updated:

1. Agreement and eligibility

These terms govern your use of Genjutsu AI ("we", "us", or "the service"). By creating an account, submitting a generation, or purchasing a product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Mandatory consumer and data protection rights remain unaffected by these terms.

These terms apply to the service available at genjutsuai.dev.

2. What the service provides

The service provides AI-assisted video creation and editing from reference videos, images, prompts, and selected settings. Available tasks may include motion transfer, person or object replacement, restyling, and scene editing. Actual availability depends on the interface, selected model, supported media, and service capacity.

Input checks and a generation quote help you prepare a task before confirming a credit charge. A preview, sample, or comparison on the website is an illustration, not a promise that your input will produce the same result. Processing time, similarity, consistency, resolution, and other output characteristics can vary. A submitted task does not guarantee a successful or satisfactory result.

3. Accounts and security

Provide accurate account and billing information, keep credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account and any API keys available to you. Do not share access in a way that bypasses account restrictions or allows unauthorized use.

We may require verification or restrict access to protect users, investigate fraud, or comply with law. Use support if you lose account access.

4. Rights and consent for uploaded material

You retain the rights you already hold in your uploaded material. You must own the necessary rights or have permission to upload, modify, and submit the material to the relevant AI and moderation providers. This includes copyright, likeness, privacy, voice, music, and other rights that may apply.

Obtain any necessary informed permission from identifiable people, particularly when replacing a person's appearance, transferring their motion, or editing their voice or context. Permission to possess a photo or view a public video does not automatically authorize AI editing or commercial use. Do not upload another person's confidential information or sensitive material without an appropriate legal basis and authorization.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, copy, prepare, transmit, and process your inputs and results as needed to provide, secure, and support the service, including through relevant providers. This does not transfer ownership or give us a blanket right to publish your media in advertising or a public gallery. Public promotional use requires separate permission.

5. Prohibited uses

Do not use the service to:

  • Create or distribute unlawful content, child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • Impersonate someone deceptively, commit fraud, fabricate evidence, or make misleading claims about a real person's actions or endorsement.
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, or encourage violence or hatred against people.
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, likeness rights, or other third-party rights.
  • Circumvent content-safety checks, account controls, credit accounting, payment restrictions, or usage limits.
  • Access other users' media or data, probe systems without authorization, introduce malware, or disrupt service operation.

We may block inputs, withhold outputs, investigate reports, or suspend access where reasonably necessary. Automated moderation can make mistakes and does not certify that an allowed result is lawful. Contact support if you believe a restriction is incorrect.

6. Outputs and publication

As between you and us, we do not claim ownership of rights you may hold in generated outputs. Whether an output is protected by intellectual property law, and whether you can use it commercially, depends on applicable law, your input permissions, and relevant provider terms. We do not guarantee exclusive rights, uniqueness, or freedom from third-party claims.

Review every result before use. You are responsible for checking accuracy, obtaining permissions, and complying with disclosure or labelling requirements for synthetic media. Do not present an AI-edited video as authentic evidence of a real event when that would mislead others. Keep your own copies of important results.

7. Purchases, subscriptions, and credit validity

The pricing page and checkout show the product, price, currency, billing interval, credit allocation, and applicable taxes or charges. The confirmed order governs your purchase. Paid functionality is available only when offered by the service and the relevant payment method is enabled.

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically according to the checkout terms unless cancelled before the next renewal. Annual subscriptions are billed for the full year; an advertised monthly equivalent is not a monthly charge. Under the current plans, annual credits are granted upfront for the paid annual period. Subscription credits expire at the applicable paid period end shown in your account; unused subscription credits do not roll over beyond their validity period. Separately purchased credit packs have no scheduled expiry under the current catalog.

Cancel renewal through the available subscription controls or payment-provider portal. If those options are unavailable, contact support before renewal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period and does not itself refund previous charges. Credit packs do not renew automatically. Future pricing changes do not retroactively change an already confirmed purchase; renewal changes will be communicated as required.

Credits are service-use units, have no cash value, and are not redeemable for cash or transferable between users unless expressly offered. Account suspension, service closure, or a legal refund may affect access or balances, subject to applicable rights.

8. Generation charges and unsuccessful tasks

The interface displays a quote before you confirm a task. Confirmation reserves the quoted credits. Actual settlement depends on the completed steps and final task status; you can review charged and returned credits in the task or account records.

For a confirmed failed, cancelled, or blocked workflow, credits allocated to steps that did not successfully complete are returned. Successfully completed processing steps may remain charged even if a later step fails or an output is blocked. An unsatisfactory appearance alone does not automatically qualify a completed generation for a credit return.

A timeout or unknown provider submission state is not a confirmed failure. The task may need reconciliation before credits can be settled or a retry allowed. Do not repeatedly submit the same task while its status is uncertain. A retry can incur a new charge for the work quoted at that time. Returning task credits is distinct from refunding a payment.

9. Refund requests and billing problems

For duplicate charges, a purchase that was not fulfilled, or a suspected billing error, email support@genjutsuai.dev with your account email, order identifier, date, and a short explanation. Do not send passwords or full card details. We review requests using payment, delivery, and usage records, and applicable consumer law.

Except where law requires otherwise or a specific offer states otherwise, we do not promise an unconditional refund for used credits, completed generations, or a subscription period that has begun. Cancelling renewal is not a refund request. Approved monetary refunds are processed through the relevant payment provider where possible; arrival time depends on that provider and your financial institution. Credits associated with a refunded purchase may be withdrawn to avoid duplicate entitlement.

Nothing in these terms removes a mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer remedy. Any legally required consent to begin delivering digital services must be obtained through the applicable purchase flow.

10. Availability, third parties, and changes

The service depends on infrastructure, model, moderation, and payment providers. Maintenance, capacity limits, safety checks, or provider changes can delay or restrict features. We may update supported models and workflows; the current interface describes what is offered. Third-party services are also subject to their applicable terms.

We aim to provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid use where practicable and required. If we permanently discontinue a paid service, we will communicate how affected purchases and unused entitlements will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

11. Suspension and account closure

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, unlawful activity, fraud, security risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the action and allow you to raise a concern with support. Urgent protective action may precede notice.

You may request account closure by email or support ticket. Cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions; specify both if needed. Closure does not erase amounts already owed or records we must lawfully retain. Information retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Responsibility and disputes

We provide the service with reasonable care, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties that can lawfully be excluded and liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer remedies and liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other protected claims under applicable law. These terms do not require you to waive mandatory local rights or use compulsory private arbitration.

Contact support first so we can try to resolve a dispute. If it remains unresolved, you may pursue remedies through the authorities or courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.

13. Updates and contact

We may revise these terms. The date above identifies the latest version, and material changes will be notified as required. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights. Where required, we will obtain agreement to new terms before they apply.

For billing, content-rights concerns, complaints, or questions, email support@genjutsuai.dev or open a support ticket.
